Basic Info
Name:Mr. Paul Graves & Family
Birthdate:10-30
Location:Upleadon, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
Bio
Before my apparent execution by Dementor's Kiss in December of 1997, I was the owner and chief executive officer of Graves Medical Instruments, Ltd., based in Gloucester. My son Seth has recently graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Instead of receiving the Dementor's Kiss, however, I was offered entrance into the Ministry's witness protection programme, under a life sentence of community service for the crimes I committed whilst a Death-Eater.

I am now known as Gareth Adams, co-professor of Defence, at Hogwarts. Only my wife Lilith, Headmaster Dumbledore, and a very select few others know that I am in fact Paul Edward Graves. This is how matters must remain. Even should Voldemort at last be defeated, that is no assurance that his followers will not endeavour to continue his insane work.

Though this journal is still active, I now write in [info]gareth_adams and leave this one for the use of my family members and friends.

This is the manor that my family owns in Butleigh, near Glastonbury. Muggles know it as Gerbestone Manor.

My 'nobleman' icon was kindly provided by [info]prozacnation. It is taken from Sidney Paget's illustration for the Sherlock Holmes story, "The Naval Treaty."

My 'Esse quam videri' and 'Gravis dum suavis' icons were made by [info]aerdens_icons using the Graves family device and crest, courtesy of the Graves Family Association website.

Favourite Things

  • The Cloud of Unknowing - online text. This is the greatest work of religious literature ever written, I believe. It is the one I hold in the highest reverence. I am certain that its author would despair of my judgment.
  • Labyrinths and Mazes
  • Poetry I have written to Lilith Drachenstein Graves, my (secretly married) wife
